Fortune Telling
I read Tarot sometimes, for myself and others. I also have another sort of deck that I've come to like. It's called "Madame Endora's Fortune Cards" and it's a pack of 48 cards with an image and a tagline that's written directly on the card (more detail in the booklet), and the artwork (by Christine Filipak) is very nice indeed. Today's card was Medusa: "Jealousy leads to downfall." Noted.
Since I've taken advantage of other people's LJ offers, I'll ask if anyone would like a one card (for immediate insight) or three card (for more nuanced information) reading from me?

The Minstrel: "Let your intentions be known."
Hindrance: "Fate has blocked this path for you."
My interpretation, based also on the added notes: "A state of flux, of high emotion, of creativity and taking chances, letting yourself be more open. Don't be disappointed if it doesn't work right away! There may be temporary setbacks. Be willing to try new approaches and alternate perspectives."
Thank you!
The Caduceus: "You will receive news from afar."
Serendipity: "Bright new prospects are on the horizon."
Full reading: "Stay grounded literally and you'll stay grounded spiritually. Keep in touch with nature and it will rest and rejuvenate you. The Caduceus is the sign of the healer as well as the messenger, so it could be part of the same healing, or it could be actual news because something unexpected will happen that will turn out to be very good for you."
The Serpent: "A sly and subtle approach is needed."
The Sphinx: "Choose your words carefully."
Full reading: "Be on your guard. There are problems around you. Beware of half-truths, of hidden agendas, of twisted words or others twisting your own words. Don't make assumptions, but don't act on impulse."
This was such a negative reading that I pulled another card for you to see what follows, and got Serendipity: "Bright new prospects are on the horizon." So this is only a temporary situation. Hang in there, and unexpected good will come.
The Satyr: "Revelry and indulgence."
The Wizard: "Use your skills to aid others."
Full reading: "You've got a watchful protector, so even apparent setbacks may have long term benefits. There's a current influence of revelry and celebration that could even fall into lustful decadence. There's power in secret knowledge, and wrongful use could lead to misfortune, but if used in aiding others, you can achieve great things."
Honestly, this is what came up!
