It's been a while. If anyone would like me to do a 3-card reading for them, just ask. You don't have to be on my friends list, and it's fine if you tell others. I use this deck. It's not Tarot, but it seems to work.

Once again I'll be reading cards for anyone who wants, for insight into the upcoming month.  No foolin'  :-)

The 1st was busy, but it's still just the 2nd of the month.

I'll do 3-card readings for anyone who asks.

My three cards for this month were:
The Stars: A long journey brings rewards.
The Harlequin: True feelings are masked.
The Chalice: Rejuvenation and fulfillment.

The Harlequin masks feelings as an actor, an entertainer, must to fit the role, to gain acceptance or to get the right sort of attention.  Sometimes that's desirable, but one should do it knowingly and willingly, weighing the costs on both sides.  What part of your life is playing a role?  Does the mask chafe from wearing it too long, too often, or from it fitting too poorly?  Or can you pick it up with a light heart only when most needed, let it sit lightly on your face, and give a wink from behind it to those in the know?  Play with the mask.  Make it a better fit.  Find ways to reduce the need for it.

My cards for the upcoming month were:

Love: "True Love and Fidelity" Honesty, union, a rekindling of affections. You will attain your heart's desire.
Air: "Seek a Union of Mind and Spirit" Dreamy and indecisive. Seek guidance in the spiritul and ethereal realms.
The Knight: "Triumph Over Adversity" Valor, truth, justice. Be direct and meet matters head-on.

Not a bad outlook, promising achievement of emotional/spiritual goals if I'm focused and actively work towards them. Knight, not troubadour.

The main indicator of how November will go for people will be the results of Tuesday's voting for candidates and the various referenda.

McCain's appearance on SNL last night was impressive. (The Washington Post has it here:  http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/11/mccain_sells_his_campaign_on_s.html?nav=rss_blog )  It was also depressing, in reminding us of how we'd felt at the beginning of the campaign season, that finally we had two good choices in whom to elect, that both candidates gave us hope for a better, more honest, more honorable future.

It's the first of the month, a good time for contemplation of what lies ahead. So I'm willing to do three-card readings again (using this deck of non-Tarot cards) and I'll try to offer it on the first of each month from now on. Requests can be from anyone, not just those on my friends list.

I read Tarot sometimes, for myself and others. I also have another sort of deck that I've come to like. Today's card was Medusa: "Jealousy leads to downfall." Noted.
